Chasing the setting sun
Thursday 18th October 2018
A very early start to beat the traffic in to York. Inevitably we arrived very early and had to find a coffee shop for an hour. We were one of the first to arrive at our seats for the service of Consecration of Bev Mason as the new Bishop of Warrington, Suffragan Bishop of Liverpool. She will be my Bishop but is also a good friend of my friend Liz, who I am on holiday with. The service was wonderful and we attended the reception afterwards.
When we got back to base we did a quick change and dashed out to do some photography, ending up chasing the sunset over the North York Moors. This was a three exposure bracketed shot.
The extras are of this morning. A sneaky shot of the minster ceiling before the service and a photo of my friend Liz with Bishop Bev.
