Sucker

I'm a sucker for reflections, especially when it concerns those old boats that have been rotting gently outside Salen for many years. We check them out each time we come here. One of our regular stops.

I worked during the day, making some really good progress on what is now a mammoth paper (but at least it's a mammoth paper with a purpose) then we drove the (very) long way round to dinner. We were going to miss out these boats, but the road between Salen and Dervaig was closed (and will be tomorrow so we have to allow longer to get to the ferry) so we passed by the boats. We were worried there wouldn't be enough light left, but in fact it was fine. It's a wide open space and I guess there's lots of reflected light off the Sound of Mull. And there were some great reflections (see also extra).

Earlier the long way around had taken us around Loch Na Keal, where I also took some photos - hence more extras.
