Abbotsford House
This weekend we are so fortunate to be at Abbotsford in Melrose for our friend’s birthday-with-a-zero celebrations. It is a beautiful place.
Abbotsford was Sir Walter Scott’s home, a sandstone pile, romantic, turrets, carvings, stained glass, full of interesting objects and with spectacular views down to the River Tweed.
There’s 15 of us, known each other for more than 25 years, living in different parts of the UK so it is lovely to be all together.
The extra is our room - to think that last week we were in a tent!
