Tractor day at The Crown
It was tractor day at our local pub today. It was also the day that the village scarecrows were judged.
I went down before lunch to see what was happening. There were more tractors than I remember. The beer garden was stuffed with little ones and the big ones lined up outside the pub. Little groups, mainly of men, were standing, staring and discussing relative merits.
When I wandered off to look for scarecrows, more tractors were powering their way up the main street in the rain. If you look closely at today's bip you will see that the rain was heavy.
On a lighter note, the Newell family had a lovely scarecrow of Peppa Pig in their garden.
