Goodnight Boys

These are the mighty quartzite statues of, the Colossi of Memnon

For over 3500 years, day in, day out 'The Boys' have stood majestically, marking the entrance of Amenhotep III Temple.

Having survived the Nile inundation and earthquakes over the centuries, they can now only marvel at the daily hordes of tourists that, STOP, LOOK and SNAP, before they are whisked off to the Valley of the Kings.
Gone are the Phaoranic people, the ancients and the Priests, that daily passed by.

I consider myself to be the lucky one, that can enjoy these guys, day and night....They are magnificent.
