'Baking For The Weekend......'

A lemon drizzle cake.....with a very interesting cream cheese and lemon icing....!
Have used cream-cheese icing before but never on a Madeira cake.....wondered if it might be a bit odd but it tasted great!!!!!

Had planned to go to a Christmas Fair in a "Downton Abbey" type house and Estate in County Laois today with my friends but the weather is just dreadful......chucking down rain all day with a risk of flooding....
So thankfully we decided as early as last night not to go!!!! Wise decision but disappointing to be done out of our 'day out'...
I'm sure there will be many more Christmas Fairs over the next couple of weeks..!
Kitty says "Meow" to everyone from the comfort of his cushion here beside me...said "I don't want to be Blipped today....too comfortable here on my chair...go on, Blip your cake instead"!!
So... I said ok....he's been there all day except for one quick excursion outside after his dinner to do his 'business' and came back in like 'a drowned rat'......
It took me a number of sheets of kitchen paper to dry him....and he's now fluffing up his white fur!!!!!
