Somewhere north of Burnley, I think
One of the funny things about exercising regularly is the occasional quantum leap that you make. I've been resolutely swimming a mile in around thirty-six minutes for the last few months and then suddenly, last Sunday, I did a mile in 34'37. On Wednesday I managed 35'05 but then today it was 34'25. Amazing!
This unpredicted, unexpected but very welcome improvement in my swimming cheered me up for most of the day, including a meeting in Accrington, after which I took a scenic route home. I'm not quite sure whereabouts I stopped to take this: somewhere along the Gisburn Road, I think.
