Happy Halloween!

It's a spider and a pumpkin, all in one!  The big fat orange body is about the size of my thumbnail. Neither of us has seen anything quite like it around the house before. The markings on its back are exquisite. I wonder if it's about to lay a million eggs, or if it is just naturally round. I'm afraid to use the front door, where it has hung out all day, because I don't want to disturb whatever's going on.
