Stitch and Bitch?

I believe that is what the recent popular movement in knitting amongst a younger generation of women has become known as - something to do with getting together to have a gossip whilst knitting a lovely pair of bootees?

Anyway, I knew we had a bag full of knitting needles. Corin found them. Now I just have to learn how to cast on and off and I am set up for my sofa-bound recovery from February.

Sunday has not been a day of rest. It has been marking and preparation to the tune of 9 hours, plus cleaning, washing, cooking and now, I have to iron James' uniform.

Basil has been a bit of a bugger today. Definitely pressing on sciatic nerve. I had an hour earlier today where I couldn't stand up without support and walking was a virtual impossibility. I have since found some different painkillers which seem to have dampened that pain a bit. I know I am carrying myself awkwardly though as I am getting a recurrence of my neck pain, which usually comes when my posture is poor. It never rains!

Had a nice catch up via email with an old friend today, and have made a new contact who has been where I am with this awful disease and the symptoms it causes. A meet up and coffee is in order. I am very grateful to my (old) friend Ago - broad shoulders and short legs...still a brightly shining star though :-)

Hope everyone has a good week
