Marvellous

as is the sea marvelous
from god’s
hands which sent her forth
to sleep upon the world

and the earth withers
the moon crumbles
one by one
stars flutter into dust

but the sea
does not change
and she goes forth out of hands and
she returns into hands

and is with sleep….

love,
    the breaking

of your
        soul
        upon
my lips

The Customs & Excise boat was patrolling the silvery waters today, large on the horizon.

Cold and blustery, the socks have finally gone on.

And an interesting query on my blog from someone making a film about Irish involvement in French wine making (!) She Had come across a wonderful quote by Gerald Cambrensis (12C Welsh scholar and archdeacon), where he described a bullaun stone/well that regularly filled up with wine to satisfy the Mass goers. St Michael was responsible and the miraculous bullaun was meant to be on an island off the coast of Cork. Did I know of it? Slight bells rung and a bit of research suggested that the island was actually off Kerry and was the famous Skellig Michael - famous as a World Heritage Site, and also featuring in the latest Star Wars films! Job done.

And a backblip
