The Lunesdale Hall
Five years ago, the Kirkby Lonsdale Institute was renamed the Lunesdale Hall. I'm not entirely sure why but I find it quite irritating. I mean, with the exception of Brexit, which I simply cannot accept, I am usually pretty good at rolling with change. Maybe the problem here is that it seems so pointless. Plus it seems to be less characterful, more prosaic.
Anyway, I wandered past it, today, on my way to see Bob for a quick drink at the Royal Barn. This is his last evening here for this visit but he's going to be watching the football later, which doesn't appeal to me, and I need to run Dan to choir. But we had an hour together, which was lovely.
