Time out

Manchester is exerting a gravitational pull on our clan. Charlie and HB both live there, Dan and the miniMinx both attend college there, and the Minx and I would both like to live there.

Of course, with Dan and Abi at school in Kirkby Lonsdale, along with my current responsibilities here, we won't be upping sticks anytime soon but that doesn't stop me and the Minx from looking to buy a place there.

Today, I went to the bank to talk about getting a mortgage. I had low expectations for the experience, to be honest, but the lady I had to speak to was both charming and funny, and totally won me over when she suggested I pop out and get a coffee while she filled in some of the forms.

PS If you're wondering about Dan being at school in KL as well as college in Manchester, he goes to the Royal Northern College of Music on a Saturday.
