Cycle track fruits

Spotted this tree of presumably crab apples by the cycle track this morning. I must have passed it countless times, but I guess my focus was lower down on the brambles rather than on looking up. They look so golden and perfect and the branches are so heavily laden. I hope they don't go to waste.
Think I'll pop by next week and see if I can pick some. I think they'll be nice in a mint jelly.
