Ducklings!!

Thank goodness there has been another lot of ducklings hatch at the ponds. These 3 were well protected by 3 adults. They came skittering over to us but no food they lost interest very quickly.

Some much needed rain this afternoon but cold. Attended a talk at the Nelson Aviation College on its history - it has been going 40 years. Plus the history of aviation in Motueka which began in the 1930's. We are the ideal place to learn to fly as we have the most stable weather in the country. They are also Air New Zealand approved so students can quickly work their way up through the flying ranks. They leave with full theory qualifications and just need to get their hours up to become fully fledged commercial pilots. Very interesting.
