Building it with our love
Almost 20 years ago - March 1999, Himself and I took a sickie. We had used most of our days off for the house move, but we needed a shed because the contents of our old shed was sitting in our dining room.
So a day off we took and together we built the shed. It was a cold and windy day and holding the panels straight was a nightmare whilst we tried to pin them together.
Himself got a start yesterday, so this morning, I ran out to the library, did a bit of shopping and the shopping and came home to start holding panels. i was totally impressed at how much he had done in the hour I had been gone.
The ground was flattened, and the sleepers were in place and the base was down and screwed together.
We got down to placing the panels, screwing them together, and then I started painting whilst he did all the banging and the screwing.
I had to run out at 545 to get more tacks for the roof felt. There's supposed to be high winds tonight.
And when I came back - i was frozen I was unable to help any more, but I went outside to hold the ladder, and there he was - still up there, torch on head, banging away.
I do love this guy.
