Driving Man

I taught Sam to drive and today I was driven by him to Riversdale to visit our friends.  Sam currently has a full beard so I was struggling to find my little boy.  The trip was a little over two hours.  Sam hasn't seen the farm since he was a teenager and enjoyed going out to the see the deer and cattle.  We passed the afternoon easily chatting.  Our friend may be at a plateau and although very tired can still move easily and be driven around the farm or go for walks.  The radiation has affected his memory and his wife feels he lives in the present.  He answered questions but doesn't initiate a conversation.  Obviously his wife misses his input and all he used to do on the farm.  On the whole a positive visit.
