Golden Gate Gigolo
Halloween Pumpkin, Clockwork Orange .......
A Mercedes 450SL would have been better.
Woke up this morning to rather unexpected 4-5cm of the first snow of the season. The cold and wet had been forecast but we didn't expect the snow level to get down to our 630m. Normally the sight would have been my Blip headline, especially as the day didn't improve with light snow, max 3°C and then late afternoon drizzle and mist.
However so as not to spread misery, I have gone for a photo which arrived in the evening from son J in San Francisco. Another great shot taken by "Mathison" who I think is actually quite an accomplished photographer and spends quite a bit of time in somewhat exotic and faraway places. Think J needs to get him to become a Bliper.
The two of them had planned the trip well in advance - well they booked the two flights, a rental SUV from Seattle to explore Washington and Oregon states before dumping it in San Francisco in favour of the cable cars and now today they picked up the pre-booked Ford Mustang convertible for the trip south to San Diego. Everything else they take from day to day.
They take it in daily turns as to who drives, and it was J's stint at the wheel to do the Steve McQueen Mustang "Bullitt" run from the central hire company offices. Here posing alongside the Golden Gate Bridge before heading east into the Sierras. So watch out any bears or visitors to Yosemite, Sequoia and the like.
I hate to think what the photos at Muscle Beach LA will look like!
