K1 and I spent the day at Ty Ebbw Fach, Six Bells for the Heritage Day held by Blaenau Gwent Heritage Forum. Four speakers, each with a perspective on women's lives and experiences, from Minnie Pallister to Marie Stopes. Plenty of food for thought around a lavish spread for lunch. We also had a walk in the warm afternoon sunshine to see The Guardian, the memorial to the forty-five miners who died at Six Bells colliery in 1960 and dedicated to all mining communities.
