Wide Wednesday: "Sky"

Bobsblips (thanks Bob!) has chosen "Sky" as today's Wide Wednesday challenge.

My Editor and I had already planned to go into town for lunch - we had a restaurant voucher given to us as a present last Christmas and we've been so busy we'd not yet used it (and it was due to expire in mid-December!). We both had a delicous gourmet burger - yummy!

This gave us the opportunity to pop down to Newcastle Quayside to grab a blip shot of the sky over the Tyne Bridges - framed by the arch of the Millennium Bridge. The sky didn't look quite nearly as threatening as this - but we had a session at camera club last night about making such photos more dramatic so I decided to try out some of the techniques! (They weren't all new to me but it was handy to be reminded of them.)

Of course we just had to pop into the Sage for a cuppa before returning home...
