Oh....sh.......smeg !

Hmm.

I've had 4 ovens in my life and 3 of which broke at Christmas or just before. The current incumbent of our kitchen was only bought 15 months ago (why do manufacturers put a poxy wee 12 month warranty on something that should last a lifetime!!!???? Oh yes - just so they can flog you the extended warranty!).

My breakfast muffins were in the oven for an hour before I realised the oven was barely tepid. I phoned up 'Customer Care' (hahahahaha now THERE's a misnomer if ever I heard one!) to be told my 12 month warranty had expired - but hey - they can send out an engineer for a mere £120 !

Grrrr.
