Winter Tyres

A couple of week's ago I (Chris) had a call telling me I'd won a Michelin tyres driving experience day at the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone. Today was the day and what a great day it was. The key aim was to educate the benefits of fitting winter tyres, this was fantastically illustrated with the chance to drive Porsche 911s with regular and winter tyres back to back on a variety of surfaces. There were also Porsche Boxster, Caymen and Cayenne to be driven, some on road, some on the track. On top of all of that the Porsche Centre offered up a fantastic cooked breakfast and an equally tasty three course lunch. The relentless rain all day, thankfully not that heavy at Silverstone, was perfect for what the day was about. The blip was caught just as I left, the rather nice looking Experience Centre!

Tonight was running club abd the arduous "hill efforts" sessions had come around again. The weather hadn't put many off though and plenty of great running was on display.

For Annie, a normal work day with a short break at lunchtime to go and watch the celebration assembley at the school where she is the governor. The year 10s and 11s were receiving various exam certificates including GCSEs.
