In bloom awards

WE got GOLD and BEST in category!!!!!!!  Here is what we looked like just before judging day  We got best town. We aren't really a town but it is based on population and originally it was Shevington and district. The memorial gardens also got a gold. We have been invited to enter Britain in Bloom now. I think that is going to be a lot of hard work if we actually enter.  The man in the photo with Margaret the commander is  Paul the chief grass cutter who did a brilliant job and got a special award in Wigan for his work.
The awards were in Southport, there was a meal and we bought a bottle of wine which cost £23 !!!!!!!! probably £5 in the shops!! There were so many awards I knew we were in for a long day when they started with the awards for small caravan park then the next was large caravan park,  Small coastal area and so it went........
