The Master at Work

After a day's work, we travelled into London this evening to see the legendary musician and producer Trevor Horn in concert. He was backed by a band including ex-members of 10CC, Dire Straights and Duran Duran and Simple Minds. We were also treated to an eclectic line-up of vocalists, some from Trevor's regular band as well as Steve Hogarth from Marillion, Matt Cardle and Ronnie Wood!! Trevor took us on a musical tour including his own songs (including Video Killed the Radio Star), songs he'd written and/or produced (Frankie Goes to Hollywood, Yes, Grace Jones) as well as his choice of rearranged 80s hits from his new album. He's good fun and very down to earth with the stage banter but the music was top quality. A great evening.
