Village Pond

A very dull day, but again quite mild, so decided to have a walk round the village.
Went to have a look at the pond.
The edges have now been replanted.
I’m not quite sure I would have used these plants. More garden perennials than wild shrubs and flowers. Will have to see what it looks like next year.
However the ducks have returned, and I don’t think they will be fussy, as long as they are fed.
19 in all, even though there still isn’t much water. It hasn’t rained for ages.

This afternoon Mr C is watching rugby on TV, while I have been baking gingerbread,
As requested by two certain young ladies.
Also weighed out the dried fruit for the Christmas cakes. Now steeping in Brandy ready for baking tomorrow.

Monday again tomorrow. Another weekend flown by.
