Fallout

Dear Diary,

The last of my leaves are falling and forming little piles of red in front.   At the moment, everything seems to me like a metaphor for what is happening in the news post-election.  The political fallout has already started with the firing of the Attorney General less than 24 hours after the Republican loss of the House.  Sigh...if we thought we would have a few days to rest, we were wrong.  We won a major battle on Tuesday but the fight continues.

On a "lighter" note, more evidence of Mr. Bear in the back this morning as big gouges have appeared on the lawn.  He was digging for something.  It is high time he entered his cave in the hills across the street and starts his winter nap!
