A gentle frosting

Dear Diary,

Our temperatures continue to drop.  There is a beautiful frost every morning now.  I keep some low plants in the garden just so I can see what the frost does each day.  These leaves seemed dusted in sugar!  While we are all busy with our lives, worrying about what may or may not happen, nature goes about its business and there is always something beautiful to discover.

I've begun to "get my ducks in order" as they say.  (What a funny saying that is!)  Next week at this time I will be in the hospital.  I have to leave here at 4:45am but I will post something before I go.  After that, we will have to see I guess.  In the meantime I will enjoy my daily dose of loveliness.
