Plane-ly

Pardon the bad word play - I have been doing some painting the last few days so the knick-kancks that sit up high around the sun-room were all lying about near my desk..my littlest brought this over and asked me what it was, I told him how it worked, showed him where the sharp bit is (good to know)...and tomorrow he is going to get a piece of wood and we'll learn how to use the old wood plane.
