Remembrance

I love this cascade  in the village. All these poppies have been knitted by various groups. Purple ones are for the animals. No one asked if they wanted to go to war, they had no choice.

Everything is gearing up for the weekend. There are displays in the church and chapel, I shall be going up to see them tomorrow. From what I gather the church hall is the men going to war and remembrance of those who didn't come back, the church is dedicated to the Animals that had to go and those that lost their lives, and the Chapel to those who were lucky enough to return. I think I will have a lot of pics.

Our Friday Feeling children dedicated their efforts to the animals and also Hands for peace, where they all made hand prints and then they were stuck round in a circle with notes with the word peace on in different languages it looked really good when it was finished, as did the animals one.

Lots of shops have decorated their windows too.
