Cold day

This morning we walked up to the University Union. It's only about a mile and a quarter but the last part is up a rather steep hill and it was very cold, but a good walk. We were meeting friends for brunch; we've been in regular touch with Mary Ann and met with her three times in recent years but there were people at last night's reception (which went well, by the way) that W used to work with but had not seen since she left over 30 years ago, so this was good chance for just the friends to get together.

Yesterday's snow was still around this morning although most has gone through the day. My picture was taken walking across a local park this morning, whilst I've added another of a snow-covered dinosaur and one of a Jayhalk, the mythical bird which is the mascot of the sports teams at KU.
