Busy noisy day
To Madrid with the bookgroup - a venture long planned. It being Spain, and some sort of public holiday because it is the feast day of the Virgin of Almudena, there were definitely no awkward silences on the streets of the city. It's hard to go wrong here. We had a long wander around the city around lunchtime and early afternoon, interspersed with an excellent (and voluminous) tapas lunch, and then a much shorter wander to look for some dinner.
I walked more steps than I have done since early July, and by the end of the day my feet were really feeling it. I'm still struggling with a bit of a chesty cold/cough, so from that perspective life could be better.
But it was none the less lots of fun. Ridgeback gives us more of the buildings. Hazelh offers the striking walkway at the airport. And Winsford opens the style that she used for all her blips this weekend.
