So close and yet so far

Our hosts in Slovakia have been simply fantastic, it seems a very special place.
Today was first wonderful as Austria and Macedonia were accepted as full members of our Union. Sadly it was then disgraceful as France and Spain then blocked the progression of Slovenia, Sweden and Hungary.
Reminiscent of two years ago the UK and Czech colleagues were up into the early hours trying to resolve things, but pride it would seem is both a powerful motivator and a large hurdle.
