Cheung Chau island
We took the ferry to Cheung Chau island which was an hour's crossing for the princely sum of just over £1. It remains virtually unspoilt by tourism and the harbour hosts a mass of small fishing boats. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch by the water watching the locals passing by at their daily activities. Bicycles rule here, not a car in sight.
In the evening we crossed over to Kowloon by the Star Ferry to watch the laser light display, the colours on the skyscrapers were spectacular.
