A Vision!

This morning we had a landscaper over to discuss our plans for the back garden and give us a quote for the hard landscaping work. In the past Andy would have done this but he now needs to avoid heavy lifting so we have decided to try to get someone else to do it.

The idea is to have only a small area of lawn and lots of flower bed and several different areas to sit. The advantage of being here a year before doing the garden is that we have had time to see how the sun falls across the garden at different times of the day in different months of the year.

On the left hand side of the plot we are planning to have raised beds for salad and a few vegetables. Behind the garage I am hoping to have a potting shed - the bit I am most excited about!

The weather was quite mixed today but we managed two good dog walks without getting soaked and I did 40 minutes of manure spreading at my allotment.
