Course closed

After torrential overnight rain, the golf course was closed this morning, and the usually busy car park was empty. I was woken in the night by rain thundering on the roof, and as we drove to the golf club there were heavy showers. By the time we arrived the sun was shining and the course looked beautiful with its backdrop of autumn trees,
I was taking Normous to his Sunday morning bridge four, and then I went back later to join him for the "Second Sunday Carvery Lunch". It is always a good lunch, and we invited two non golfing friends to join us. We all ate well.
