Corinthian on Crete

Driving up once more to the village of mr. Leonidakis to see him again and hand him the dutch magazine Lychnari in which my sweethearts article about his village and him was published a month ago (the translation is of my hand, ofcourse) ~ we saw he's doing well and that pleases us lots! 
We drove around a little too and noticed this Corinthian column next to a Byzantine chapel in the province of Rethimnon, not far from the village Argiroupolis... how did this column end up here?!
