Airplane parts
A beautiful day after yesterday's rain, with a northerly wind bringing welcome cooler temperatures (72degF at nite). Seems the lookout closure is for filming. The airplane parts on flatbeds I saw yesterday at the end of Sandy Beach appear to have been scattered down the slope. That is one heavy-duty tall crane!
Had to park at the archery and firing range and cross the highway to get this shot. The noise from the firing range was a strange backdrop to the meaning of today, honoring Veterans for their service. It was unsettlingly irregular bursts of loud gunfire.
Came across this quote in Susan Scott's column yesterday:
"Attitude is the difference between an ordeal and an adventure." Also, when an ordeal is over, it's a story to tell.
