Canale Grande

It was a little misty first thing but this quickly lifted and after a visit to the Rialto market we enjoyed a coffee in the sunshine at Campo Santo Stefano.

At lunch time we were meeting friends who live in the Veneto district, they were arriving by train. A pleasant afternoon together including a visit to the Basilica di SM della Salute from where I took this photograph looking over towards the San Marco area. By this time the mist had come down again and the bell tower of San Marco is almost lost in the mist.
