1479. Up the creek without a paddle....

What a long and complex day I’ve had today....first of all we bought a new bed yesterday...very pleased with it but had no idea how much sorting we’d have to do to prepare for it to be delivered! So starting with our bedside tables ( the new bed is wider at the headboard so these had to be moved!) which we both decided needed a clear out....then the unit at the base had to be emptied and moved as we’re also getting a new ottoman....cue a major sort out! Then we moved the unit into our spare room....which then led to us clearing out several cupboards in there too! So several hours later our room is all prepared and our cupboards all sorted and it’s not even Spring yet!

I then popped up to deliver something to our elderly neighbours who have just returned from Tenerife....”come in...we think we’ve been scammed” was what I was greeted with. Indeed they have and what a heartless bunch some of these shopkeepers must be as they’ve been sold an iPhone 6 Plus phone (not new) and a very scabby iPhone 5S for £1100....the iPhone 6+ was sold to them in an iPhone X box and as they’re both in their late 80’s they had no idea what they were getting. The ruthless b**tard even took one of them to a cash machine to withdraw £300 in cash so that he could “pay Tesco for their contracts” when all they did was put their old SIM cards in these two iPhones. I’ve tried to suggest what they might be able to do but as ever there is so little they can do and apart from an obviously second hand iPhone 6+ they’ve not got much more than around £300 worth of phones....how people can do this to elderly holiday makers is beyond my comprehension...I am so angry....
