just popped up...

A beautiful day, so this afternoon I wrapped up warm and sat on the pier for a while and watched for what ever might come along (I'm fully embracing this time off thing)!!
This ?cormorant turned out to be 'the whatever'....... showing off his highly superior graceful diving, underwater breathing and swimming abilities. I couldn't catch him with the camera in mid maneuver, he was just too quick, but what a joy to behold. I only managed to catch the ripples from his silent ascent.
