Xmas Factor

It was the first of two performances of Miss E's Christmas Play today
All the weeks of singing in the car and dancing at home finally made sense. When you're hearing a mixture of Nativity songs, Elvis and The Carpenters and a song about Henry VIII it's quite hard to imagine what you're going to get!
It was called The Xmas Factor which I'd thought was a bit naff when I heard about it but it was actually quite clever. God wanted to choose his cast for the greatest story ever told so he held auditions and the panel of X Factor judges chose.
Auditioning for the King role as well as Herod were Elvis and Henry VIII, and with the three wise men were Einstein and Newton.
It was a joint play for Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The older kids did amazingly well with loads of lines and jokes. Our little ones were singers and dancers. And reindeers and sheep!
It was very sweet. And Miss E had a lovely time swooshing about in her new frilly tutu skirt!
And I've got to do it all again tomorrow as my mum couldn't make today so I went with my dad and tomorrow I'm going with Mr K.
And I'm going to get better seats!! Despite sitting in the front row I could hardly see Miss E strutting her stuff. And she was front and centre! Stupid teacher blocking my view of the artiste!!
Afterwards I had a lovely afternoon with Mrs C and Mrs R. It feels like ages since we've had a lazy day of chatting and tea drinking. Must get back in the habit!
