War Memorial Month - Day 11
The Gurkha Memorial, Whitehall.
Having been at the Cenotaph for 11am, I had hoped to make it today's blip, but the sheer number of people around made it difficult to photograph.
Afterwards, Sarah and I headed East to the Olympic Park to visit the Shrouds of the Somme exhibition. It's an incredibly moving and thought provoking exhibit. My Great Uncle, John Munro, is one of the 72,396 shrouds.
There's someone there reading out each of the names. In the 40 odd minutes we were there, the list moved on from "Coates" to "Cole".
Shrouds of the Somme is captured as today's extras.
