Whilst the wonderful autumnal light is still with us, I am taking advantage. Today we had a stroll up the Ewden Valley - a wild moorland area just a short drive from home. It was later in the day before we got up here so the light isn't as dramatic as the early light on yesterday's shot. It' seems ironic that I have so much photo kit, but when it comes to landscapes, my smart phone proves to be the easiest way of getting a half-decent capture.
I seem to have lost my bird photo mojo recently. Today's one that got away was a Stonechat. I'd hoped I might get a shot (no pun intended) of a Red Grouse. There were plenty around but they were very flighty - hardly surprising at this time of year!
