Very.....

...... red, and not really my kind of colour but it makes a nice statement in a photograph;  I wanted to catch the varnish dripping but it wouldn't play - any other time I'm sure it would have dripped where I didn't want it to.

I had a lovely visit from my oldest friend today and the time has just flown by. Our mothers became friends when they met at antenatal clinic and then purely by coincidence the families became next door neighbours.  We went to the same primary school and even though we don't see each other often we have stayed close.
