Diary of an Edinburgher

Cheers!

Gym visit as usual, but just the bike was done. I'm finding the cross trainer killing, and I only did five minutes before I gave up. I have lost some impetus, because I know it's not my weak hamstrings that are causing the knee pains. But I know I have to keep moving, and cycling is easier than walking. I brought the old exercise bike out of the cupboard, ready for use...

Though I didn’t do much at the gym, I did have a flurry of activity when I got home, and did a few long-standing jobs, including sawing kindling, sewing up new cords, moving bags of coal, adding draught proofing to the stair door (it rattles on windy nights, and is about two feet from my sleeping head). Meanwhile, JR and Archie went to Midmar Paddock for a run around (not JR).

Archie did get up during the night, so still isn’t right, but we'll try one more day of his medicine, otherwise we'll take him to the vet. His appetite is a healthy as ever, he's energetic enough when he's out and about.

In the afternoon we walked (half an hour) to visit Molly the Grogeous Collie and her mum. Archie is always a bit nervous when visiting Molly, as she told him off once, and he never forgets. Ann had bought some 'Pawsecco' for the dogs to share (but proper Prosecco for the humans to share, thankfully).

To get the dogs to pose with the 'Pawsecco' proved less than easy, though I must say, Archie sat and posed patiently while Molly mucked around and pretended she didn’t know what was wanted. Good boy, Archie. (Extras) Check out Ann's flash vacuum cleaner, carefully placed there to be in the photo.

We got the bus home. (Six minutes) Hope Archie sleeps all through the night...
