Bulb

The bulb in my main light has gone and the stupid high ceilings means it is impossible to change (even tiptoes on a cushion on a pillow on a table didn't do anything, apart from causing me to fear for my life) so I will have to wait til Marmaduke comes on Thursday so he can fix it for me. Useless, I should just stay in the kitchen.
Today I learnt (from Anna, my godsend of a pupil) that if you threaten to take a pupil's carnet (prep diary equivalent) it puts the fear of god into them and they immediately shut the hell up and pay attention and do whatever you say. Can't believe this took me so long to learn this, but I will definitely be doing that more often.
