I was very tired this morning after getting up so early yesterday to visit Weymouth, so didn't go very far today (which always seems a waste of a day off work!)
Whilst going for a quick shop to M&S. I was pleased to discover it was the Lantern Parade and turning on of the Christmas lights in Greenwich today, so I dashed home to get my camera. Local schoolchildren paraded by the Cutty Sark with their colourful lanterns shaped like birds/animals etc. into Greenwich Market where the light switch on was taking place. It was a lovely atmosphere and almost (just almost) brought a tear to my eye!
