The Cenotaph

I was in London for an early evening meeting of the Joint Ministerial Committee, which was rapidly overtaking by events being reported from Brussels.

When I left 70 Whitehall to go to London City Airport I was very struck by the profusion of wreaths at the Cenotaph, obviously placed there on Sunday during the ceremonies.

The sight was was impressive and moving.
