Fresh faced

"The tricky thing is knowing when to take the feeding tube out because it's really tricky to get it back in if we need to.......you know what, let's just get on with!"

So said Owen's surgeon before pulling the 24cm of tube out of his nose.

Not what we expected this morning. But brilliant none the less and the first time we'd seen Owen's face without tubes since the first couple of hours after he was born.

We had a walk over to Platts Fields park in the afternoon and stopped at Caffè Nero for a coffee on the way back where we gave Owen his first out-in-the-world feed...it was terrifying but only just round the corner from the hospital.
