First Snow Fall .....
We had our first snow event of the season today .....
It snowed throughout the day for a total accumulation of 8 inches ..... or 20.32 cm.
I had the luxury of not having to go anywhere after I canceled our appointment to get the Saturn in for it's inspection. Richard did not have that same luxury ... he had to work. His normal 25 minute trip home took him over 3 hours! And the whole time I was worried sick!
Although it could have been worse as there were lots of vehicles stuck on the major highways for hours .... many over night! But he persevered and after a lot of rerouting finally made it home!
The birds and squirrels were busy at the feeders all day ..... which allowed me to get lots of photographs. The main picture of this beautiful male Northern Cardinal and the extra of the Cooper's Hawk were taken before the snow started. The squirrel extra was taken late in the day (through the window) after much of the accumulation. Poor little ones! They have no idea this is only the beginning!
