KMF day1

Yep, not Nepal but a marquée on a car park in Kendal.
First session delivered to a sell out crowd, and think I've already picked my film of the festival.

Always good to simply wander saying hello to so many folk, some of whom I think I only actually ever see here now!

Was also lovely to pop into the Boardman Tasker Award and spend a little while with Hilarysview (hope the cake was OK!) , she must be immensely proud of the legacy they've built. I know there's the Booker, the Costa, the Shackleton and a host more, but if you love the mountains this is the only literary prize. Past winners and nominees fill my book case, sitting next to the works of those the prize is named after.
